All of my students are active readers. Many of my students need a different way to demonstrate comprehension of what they have read. Picture symbols, such as those used in adapted books, make it possible for my students to express their understanding. We need a substantial adapted book collection in our classroom library. Adapted books can rarely be found already assembled. A book binding system will allow me to assemble and customize adapted books for the individual needs of my students. There are many great adapted books that I can print online and with the funding of this project, I will be able to fully prepare the books for use by my students.
