My students are in 5th grade from low to middle income families. They attend an urban public school. Many students come from a variety of backgrounds and often come to school without supplies. I want my kids to love reading and to write about their reading. I share my own personal reading selections with them to encourage reading. Our school is Title I. I want to give my students a chance to have as much time to read during the day as possible and to share their own reading experiences.
