The way to my students' brains is through their stomachs. My students love to learn about foreign languages using the foods of the cultures who speak the languages. This proposal is for the Invitation to Foreign Languages course that I teach as an elective to seventh (and eighth)grade students. Our students are not very diverse culturally, and it is my hope that we are opening their minds to the possibilities of knowing and liking other cultures.
