I teach 5th grade in a high-needs school that has been transformed this past year. For many, many years the school was in bad shape; the students were performing well under grade level and the climate of the school was not a suitable learning environment. All of that has changed since the school was closed down last year and reopened with a fresh, dynamic administration and a staff of dedicated and caring teachers.
