What if it were YOU that could not communicate? Wouldn't you want to be able to tell someone your wants/needs? I am a speech language pathologist. These are special education students who for various reasons are unable to speak or communicate their wants/needs. My school is a self contained school that has approximately 350 special education students ranging in ages from 5-21 years of age.
