Amazing...stupendous...as sweet as candy...are the expressions on my kindergartener's faces when they discover they can read little sight word readers! I love teaching kindergarten for this very reason. I work in a magnet school where patriotism is taught and a strong belief that children should be children, not mini adults. The learning expectation is high, so I want to make sure that learning is fun and as enjoyable as a piece of candy!
