I teach in a low socio-economic, high poverty area in Southwest Missouri where 17 languages are spoken in our community. Many of our children come in with little to no English. I teach 19 children: 11 are ELL, 1 IEP and the rest are living in poverty. These children are lovely and want to do their best at everything.
