This project supports Nevada Disciplinary Skills Standard SS 6-8.EUSH.6 - Construct organized explanations for various audiences and purposes using evidence and reasoning. Our students will be using the books for research projects, engaging in project-based learning, and have the supplies and organizational tools to manage their learning. Some examples of student projects include using cardstock to construct pyramids to show all they learned about Ancient Egypt, creating colorful posters to teach about WWII battles, and creating visuals to present in our "museum" of Early American History. These items will be distributed across three Social Studies classrooms in grades 6 through 8 and will be shared to support our students in Ancient Civilizations, Early US History, and World History and Global studies classes.
