I teach kindergarten at a low income school. Most of my students qualify for free or reduced breakfast and lunch. Over 50% of our students are acquiring English and with this being the first school experience for my students, they are just beginning to learn. This year, our school is becoming a parent participation school in order to get parents more involved in their child’s education. Parents can support this program by participating in small opportunities such as signing and returning a newsletter or bigger opportunities such as volunteering in the classroom. We are very excited about this new focus!

About my class
