As we embark on one of the most challenging experiences to date, educators are now scrambling to come up with effective plans for teaching while keeping students distanced and safe. Each year, we strive to make our classrooms a home away from home by decorating with rugs and stuffed animals and utilizing bean bag chairs and couches. Sadly, this practice is now a thing of the past and we will be forced to store those things away in favor of desks only. The portable cushion seats requested in this project can be easily cleaned and moved to maximize the learning experience for our littlest learners. The lap desks will help my kindergartners learn the importance of becoming organized rule followers. Both can be used together as they can be transported to our outside learning area or in our group gathering section of the classroom while maintaining a safe distance. I thank you for your consideration and I look forward to using these things help me build a rich environment for children to foster growth and learning.
