My students are from low-income families. Most of them have never read any Poe, Hughes, Soto, etc. Books will open their worlds. Books and other resources will allow my students to discover what it is like to be part of the Holocaust. These books will help them see what life was like when Edgar Allan Poe was alive. Was he mad or a genius? Was he both? We will discover new worlds along the way.
