My school is currently attended by 788 students. The school's population is mostly Hispanic. Many students are bilingual or monolingual Spanish and participate in a dual language program. Currently 46% of students in third, fourth, and fifth grades score proficient on the Standards Based Assessment. Due to this, the administration and the school's leadership team has chosen to focus on improving reading in many school-wide initiatives.
