My special needs kids are beginning readers in early elementary school. They still are fascinated with what they read and see in books. They are just beginning to discover that books hold adventures and mystery in them as well as information about the world around them. They come from a low income neighborhood where new books aren't readily available to them unless they see it at school. Libraries are just too far away from them. I want to bring books up close to them!
