Children need to move! The flexible seating options I chose will allow my students to wobble, rock, bounce or sit still, which will increase increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. An uncomfortable student is an unproductive and distracted learner. The comfortable seating I chose for my classroom will provide the students with unlimited options to be comfortable and ready to learn. The chairs have comfortable backs and allow the students to sit at floor level. In addition, they have adjustable backs to assure comfortable positioning. The Flex-Space Wobble Chairs are perfect for students who like to wiggle and wobble while sitting, each safe, stable chair has a rounded base that allows students a little movement-without tipping over. The light weight chairs allow students to move them easily around the room and work individually or cooperatively in groups. Finally, the Flex-Space Storage Center will allow students to experience true Flex-seating arrangement. Storing their supplies in a common area will foster sharing and respect of another's materials and help them to learn to work collaboratively as a team. Knowing they are coming to a place of choice and comfort each day will motivate and engage students to be ready to learn and grow throughout the school year.
