My students attend a Title 1 school (public school) in an urban environment. They are low-mid level English Language Learners from over ten different countries. Most do not have access to resources that some students might take for granted, computers, internet, or books to read at home. I strive to make my classroom a "haven" in which they find the assistance, materials and encouragement they need to excel academically in English and in core content areas.
