With the growing ESOL population at my school it is very difficult for my ESOL students to translate when annotating and analyzing primary documents in Social Studies. With the use of technology in the classroom my students can go excel further than they ever anticipated. I have students who have just moved from various countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Russia and Ukraine. The ESOL students currently in my classroom have a hard time understand primary resources and annotating text. I have been looking for a way to help these students bridge the gap between their native language and the English text. With the purchase of an IPad pro and iPad pencil so my ESOL students so they can become successful English learners.
