I teach in an integrated, urban, third grade classroom. I often sit with my children for lunch or take them to dinner because they all have so much that they add to the world. Many of the children are strong in spoken literacy, but delayed in reading and writing. In focusing on their abilities, I am trying to make the stories that are alive inside of them, their lives, come to life on paper with the help of technology and recording devices in the classroom.

About my class
