My students are fourth graders in a Title One Public School in Nebraska. They are great kids, who come to school with lots of tough stories, but work hard and achieve fantastic results in many areas. We have students who have improved fluency by 50 words a minute in reading and have scored very well on State reading and math tests. We are 80% free and reduced lunch and are very multi-cultural. We have a Manners Matter program which teaches behavior skills and a extremely positive academic and learning atmosphere. I will be starting my 30th year at Alcott School. It has ALWAYS been a fantastic place to be!
