Like all five year olds, my students are incurably curious and hungry for MORE information about everything! We live on the grounds of our earliest forefathers causing fascination with our country's beginnings. They want to know more about wooden teeth, sharks' teeth, constellations, mercury (thermometers), and a multitude of awesome learning sites to which I have introduced them. These children are mesmerized with eagles that soar in our skies and the peregrine falcons that dives at 242 mph. They ask to see pictures of "all things that live," beyond our shores and atmosphere. Today they were curious about the bone construction of dinosaurs and wanted to use a learning site that allows dragging and dropping dinosaur bones where they imagine they belong. Unfortunately my one and only iPad doesn't go far enough. iPad minis will make a huge difference in their accessibility to learning.
