These materials will help me to create small group center activities that can be used by my students to aid in the various deficits in my classroom. The center activities will be able to be utilized year after year because they will be created, then laminated, so they are not easily damaged. My children will benefit from using the activities to aid in helping them in their specific areas of need. (sight word fluency, math operations fluency, phonics games, quick math facts cards/word problems, vocabulary card builders, etc.) My hope is that my children are able to show growth in their areas of need by the end of the school year, through working in the small group centered activities weekly. I also intend to allow my students the opportunity to create their own skill cards for their small groups. This will enable the students to take ownership of their learning by creating activities and skill cards that they feel they need help with. When students take ownership of their learning, it becomes more valuable to them. I will aid each group in creating word documents on their Chromebooks via Microsoft Word. Then, I will allow them to print out the activities and skills card they created. Next, I will assist the groups in putting their activity cards into laminated pouches. Lastly, I will show them how to push them through the classroom laminator to protect their work.
