My students are a diverse group of Pre-kindergarten children in the Alief community of Houston, Texas. Students are making great efforts to learn English. Although our students are living in poverty they embrace learning and love to participate in literacy and math activities. Each student brings a diverse culture to the classroom and shares a piece of themselves during every circle time.
