My students go to the computer lab twice per week. The children have access to different computer programs that are focused on developing their early learning skills. They need to hear and listen to instructions to complete tasks on the computer. The problem is that our headphones are old and broken. The kindergartners were given earbuds to use this year. The students have trouble fitting the adult-size earbuds in their five year-old ears. The earbuds are constantly falling out of their ears and it makes learning difficult, if not impossible. The cords are twisted and becoming disconnected from the ear pieces. If we had child-size headphones that we could rely on, we could maximize the time spent learning on the computers. I want to assure my students are prepared for the tests they will take on the computer in the future. I want to make sure they aren't falling short because they don't have the proper tools to be successful. So... I am asking for a class set of "kid" headphones and a rolling bag to transport them to the computer lab.
