My APES students represent minorities and females. Both groups are traditionally under represented in STEM courses. Our school is very diverse. Over 70% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch programs. Our school is an IB school. We are an AVID demonstration school. Our graduating class for 2013 led the district in scholarship monies. In short, our kids don't allow circumstance to hold them back.
