Since I teach special education middle school students, my students require a variety of modes of learning. A large problem among my students is their ability to recall and comprehend information they learn in science. In order to remedy this issue, I try to incorporate technology, hands-on experimentation, and make the lessons as memorable as I can. I am lucky to have the ability to use PowerPoint presentations in my classroom and provide visuals, simulations, animations, and video clips through this software. My students enjoy this technology and even help me to make some of the presentations themselves. Because most of my students come from a disadvantaged background, a lot of them do not have access to technology at home and must rely on the school computers and other technology for their experiences.
