I have 18 third graders, 11 boys and 7 girls. In one word "energetic"! Our school is a very low income school with 94% free and reduced price lunch. We are also funded by Title 1 services that help those students who are a year or more below grade level in reading. More than half of my class are below grade level in reading. They are eager to learn, but have difficulty because of this reading deficit.
