I teach math to 5th-8th grade students at a very small school. My smallest class has 9 students and my largest has 21 students. Many of my students have obstacles to overcome that do not include school. Their home lives may be unsteady, food is scarce, and being prepared for school is not the priority for the family. There are many students who do not have the basic supplies needed for school. They can not compete with wealthy and supportive families without help from others.

About my class
