Please help my class of 3 to 5 year olds with developmental delays increase their language and literacy skills through the use of the Read It Again PreK program and books! Read It Again-PreK! is a curricular supplement designed to develop and strengthen young children’s early foundations in language and literacy. Read It Again-PreK! builds children’s skills in four key areas of language and literacy: vocabulary, narrative, phonological awareness, and print knowledge. These 4 areas form a foundation upon which the child will build academic proficiency. Early difficulties in any one of these areas can undermine this early foundation and set the stage ongoing challenges that become more difficult to remediate over time. Read It Again-PreK! curriculum is a free resource available to early childhood educators who want to bring recent research findings regarding the importance of explicit and systematic language and literacy instruction into their classrooms. It features 60 lessons implemented over 30 weeks of instruction and can be modified to meet the needs of both struggling and advanced learners. We need the books that go with the lessons! *These materials were developed as part of a research project funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), U.S. Department of Education through Grant #R305A080459 to The Ohio State University.
