I have always considered myself as a tech savvy educator, but do to the Covid-19 pandemic we have no other choice but to be 100% online now. I am looking forward to this venture, but I lack the "basics" that will help me ensure that the students have the best possible online experience possible. I teach both High School ELA and ESL and these materials will help me demonstrate everything from part of speech to the arduous (but loved) writing process. My students have various learning abilities, but the majority of them are hands-on and visual...meaning they love for me to show examples on the whiteboard/projectors etc... This may not be the classroom they are accustmed to but the goal is to make this transition as close to "normal" as possible. Visuals are necessary in effectively teaching ESL students. Wouldn't you agree? Thank you for both your time and consideration.
