The materials needed for our gardening project will help the students to work collaboratively in an environment where the use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows will play an essential part of community learning. They will be used for hauling and moving of materials to make our garden successful. The students will demonstrate mutual respect and kindness towards our environment and one another while building the life skills needed to be good stewards of their school community. The students will be able to share their experiences with their teachers, administrators, and families. They will also apply their math skills to measure the growth of plants over time and apply their science skills to help in discovering how our Earth plays a big part in our sustainability.
