I have blooming 5th graders and they are a very active bunch; eager to learn and explore new horizons by using technology. We are located in West Virginia in a low income district and it is hard to keep up with the rest of the world because of the lack of accessible technology. Our school is very old and used to be the elementary school through high school. Now it is just the Middle School that houses grades 5-8. It is a great atmosphere to be in and the students are fortunate to have teachers that go the extra mile in order to give them the best education they can get with the resources we have to offer. My class could do so much more with Math on the Nextbooks. My computer person uses one for her daughter and for the most part the apps we would want to use are free for this device. This is the reason I chose this device because I can get the most benefit for the price of the device. We get very little money to spend on supplies.
