The learning space is an important aspect of the whole educational experience. Having a positive instructional climate helps build a community of learners in my school. The school library with its different learning zones, each intended for a different type of learning activity, is the perfect space to offer flexible learning opportunities and ultimately increase motivation. Offering flexible seating mirrors the self-directed nature of today’s workplaces while encouraging students to make positive choices for their own learning. When students are comfortable and satisfied, they can stay focused and work for longer periods of time. Please help me provide my students with these comfortable spaces. Let's face it, flexible seating is about more than simply having a variety of different, fun seats in the library. It’s about utilizing student voice, accommodating both independent and group work, and increasing student performance and engagement. Thank you so much for helping me fund this exciting project!
