Your donation for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need, which will increase student academic success. Our classroom environments should be conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. This simply cannot be done when kids are sitting in rows of desks all day. The items I have requested will allow for all of this. The balance balls, stools, and chair bands will provide immediate benefits. Students will be burning more calories, by using up excess energy. They will provide increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. Unfortunately, I do not currently have many seating options for students. This project will offer my students a variety of seating choices to use during the day to help them achieve in a way that works best for each individual.
