Technology in the hands of kids has been shown to engage them by helping them develop important skills and knowledge by pulling from their interests and makes daily lessons more memorable and engaging. That is why the GWC program is vital to letting girls develop the technology skills they will need to compete in a field dominated by males. GWC will have the opportunity to enhance technology literacy by logging into the GWC program and complete the tasks and lessons in order to gain comprehension and skills. Chromebooks will enhance their mathematical and literacy skills, by learning how using coding works to develop software and apps. They will also be able to use apps included in the program to boost their proficiency and comprehension. GWC participants gain more exposure to online learning by using the GWC program to aid with coding practices to go along with the GWC Curriculum. They will be able to receive immediate feedback, which will provide a boost for them to try harder if they don't succeed. The ability to have the technology on hand and available as well as the program will provide participants to earn reward points for their accomplishments. Seeing GWC with smiles on their faces is the greatest reward!
