I work as a speech therapist in a public elementary school. I have wonderful children on my caseload. They are excited about learning and love to use technology. The children on my caseload have various abilities. Some children are visually impaired, some are hearing impaired. I have students with Autism or who are non-verbal. I have students with physical challenges and children who are typically developing. When I started using the iPad with these children I saw an increase in attention. The children were eager to come to class and eager to learn!
