As we begin the 2020-2021 school year, I will be teaching Kindergarten virtually. Kindergarten students deserve hands-on learning experiences to help make their new knowledge concrete. Without the use of my classroom materials, and with children learning from home, I need materials to create home-learning bins for students to use during virtual lessons. Help me make Virtual Kindergarten the exciting first school experience it deserves to be. Through these interactive online lessons, I will be able to model alphabet and numeracy concepts while my students follow along with their donors choose materials. For example, they can use the dry erase board for writing letters, numbers, and words, or drawing pictures and stories. We can use the shapes and counters to explore early math concepts and problems solving. Providing these tangible materials in the homes of my students will make learning fun, exciting, and set them up for success.
