I have ten students in my Electronic Journalism class this year. We are in a rural public school district in Missouri. My class members are very excited about the expectations that have been placed upon them this year, and I would like to be able to give them the best resources I can, so they can do their job well. For three years, my colleague and I have been trying to get an Electronic Journalism/Broadcast Media class to be able to work together collaboratively to create a news broadcast for our district. This year our dream is finally coming true. The Broadcast class has been created, and we will be working with them during the same block on projects that will positively promote the activities that are taking place in our school/district. My students will be using their writing and photography skills to enhance these projects. Class members will need to use the camera to take pictures and create videos in order to help them do their reporting.
