My students are 3 year olds and they all have been diagnosed with autism or have met the criteria for the autism program. As of next week I will have 17 children in my class. We are part of the public school system. My students range from severe to mild autism and they are both fascinating and challenging. It is important to try to reach them through early intervention. Children with autism are so unique and such a joy to work with. They really love computers and smartboards, anything involving technology. It is amazing the level of skill some of these young children have when it comes to technology. I cannot imagine working with any other students other than my babies with autism. They really bring a lot of insight into my life every day!
