We have a very socially and economically diverse population in our school. Presently 79% of our students are eligible for free or reduced lunches. We are the designated ESL school for the district, so we enjoy the benefits and challenges of a culturally diverse population as well. For many of our children, entering Kindergarten is their first educational experience. Many of our students lack vocabulary, background knowledge and experiences. We try to provide our students with a rich variety of experiences as an enhancement to the educational curriculum.
