My school has a fenced grassy area that we aren't using at this time and my students and I want to create an outdoor classroom for K-5 students. My students and I want to start creating our outdoor classroom with a butterfly garden. We will use the garden tools to prepare an area to plant the butterfly bushes and to maintain the area. We want to learn about butterflies, how to care for them and the impact they have on our environment. We will observe, draw and write about our studies of the butterfly.
