Throughout the day, my students are allowed to work where they choose in the classroom. At this point, I only have a few pillows and rugs for them to use around the room during our daily five rotation in guided reading. This flexible seating will benifit all of my students. My students who have difficulty staying seated in a traditional setting will benefit because they will be allowed to use the yoga balls, yoga cushion pillows, or stool as alternative seating. This will give students an opportunity to work while moving. The behavior of those students who are challenged to sit in a chair will improve because they will be able to move around but not to the degree of disturbing others.
