My students are 2nd graders at a K - 3rd grade building. We are a rural school with a high rate of poverty. I would like to get them interested in growing some of their own vegetables in a garden. I believe having a classroom vegetable garden will help them to understand how plants grow in a healthy environment and also be a good reference as I teach students about making healthy eating choices.
