I have a group of 4th graders who are a high energy, hard working group of kids. My classroom is a mix of multiple cultures, races, and socioeconomic statuses. Because of some of the challenges they face when they are outside of school, I do what I can to make my classroom a fun, safe, and inviting place. I want them to remember the things they learned while in my classroom when they are attending high school and beyond. We attend a K-5 elementary school in North Dakota.
