I teach a fantastic, energetic group of Firsties! They are so full of life and eager to learn! I teach in an inner-city where all the students qualify for free lunch. Although we do not have funding for everything we would like, we make due with what we have. I teach the English component of our Dual Language Program where we learn to appreciate our diverse backgrounds and gift of language. A majority of my students are bilingual and speak Spanish at home. Our school community is very diverse and rich in culture. My students love to express themselves and meet new people! They get very excited when we have new friends come and read to us. The most amazing quality that I love about my students is their sincerity. I am very fortunate to have a group of children who are genuinely kind to one another and always willing to help their neighbor. I do all I can to make school a fun place for them because they deserve it and love to be there!
