I teach three classes of fifth grade Munchkins who have very diverse learning styles. Despite socio-economic challenges, they arrive focused, ready to learn, and love to do things together. They share new ideas and their independent opinions about books, writings and research. They love to discuss current events, new content, and timely discoveries that we uncover through our lessons, labs and projects. Realistically, we do struggle to keep each student equipped with basics like pencils and paper. But thanks to DonorsChoose.org, I am able to better meet individual student needs with resources and supplies that greatly assist me to close the gap between ability levels while accelerating their learning. Thank you for sharing my belief that given the opportunity all students will learn, all students will grow academically, and all students will dare to dream.
