I have a group of learners who need more intensive reading intervention that what my school currently offers. A great program for this is the Wilson Reading System. I have several students who I would like to have in a small group setting working with the Wilson Reading Program. I have used this program with students before and have seen great progress. What I am needing is magnetic journals and the Wilson Introductory Kit. The magnetic journals are a very valuable part of the program because they help with encoding and decoding of words in a kinesthetic manner. Research shows that this Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Tactile type of learning and strategies of receiving the information and being able to relay that information back helps the learner to not only "learn" how to read and spell better, but more accurately, assuredly, and more fluently. The principles used in this program teaches the structure of our words in the English language.
