The students are hard working and eager to become as independent as possible. They are students with Autism, physical impairments, or are developmentally delayed. This does not stop them as they enjoy the camaraderie of working side by side with other staff and dream of the day they will receive their own paycheck. Our students are learning how to ride public transportation, banking skills, how to pay bills, social skills necessary to obtain and keep employment, and hygiene. What inspires me the most is the pride they take in whatever task is given to them and the ability they have to focus and to complete a task that may take another worker more time to complete. Their zest for learning is apparent each day as they self evaluate their daily performance and then ask what they can do to improve in certain areas! We are in need of shoes and shirts for the males to wear to job interviews!!! Thanks for your support!!
