In simple terms, my little scholars are full of joy and energy when they walk into our classroom. Even though they face the challenges of living in a low income and high crime neighborhood everyday, they are still babies and carry a passion for school and excitement of entering a classroom that awaits them with enthusiasm. We attend a school with no windows, lack of resources and materials and rely mostly on other teachers and internet for support. They are growing up in a geographic area where statistics are not in their favor and pretty much determine their future.
