The majority of my students are from "Colonias" of South Texas; substandard homes and living conditions. Poverty is a reality and opportunities are scarce in the region. My students shine however despite all odds and art class is a class where expression of thought is allowed. Our public high school encourages students to stay in school, implements drug awareness programs, and strives for education excellence.
