My 26 fourth grade students are eager, energetic and curious, but they have very divergent academic skills. I need every tool possible to support their different learning levels and styles this year. They are so excited to learn something new every day. It's my favorite thing to come to school and have a student waiting at my door asking, 'Can I pick out a new book?' Helping students to find the 'just right' book that is accessible and exciting can change their journeys as readers. This enthusiasm and connection is what breeds a lifetime of reading. Living in the 21st century offers us so much technology that we can use to capture concepts and deliver them to children in a way that will serve them throughout their educational careers. My hope is to instill a lifelong love of learning in my students by exposing them to new technology and teaching them how to navigate to gain knowledge.
