The students I work with in California are eager to contribute to their community and find their place in the world. They are freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and senior students of varying backgrounds, who face multiple challenges in life. They are socioeconomically disadvantaged and have physical and learning disabilities. The disabilities include intellectual disabilities, speech or language impairment, emotional disturbance, and specific learning disability. With the proper scaffolds and interventions these students can perform at grade level. Their performance is enhanced by technology. Technology not only boosts their achievement and it motivates their performance. Unfortunately technology is scarce in our classrooms. I am seeking two laptops to aid my students in their life learning. I cannot control my students' environment outside of school, but I can affect my students' classroom environment.
